Just recently installed XP pro on my pc. When I switched it on earlier, I
got a pop up box stating that my password is expiring in 14 days and would I
like to reset it?

Thing is, I didn't set a password on XP in the first place. So what's it all
about? Am I going to get this annoying box pop up every month???

Hi,

Start/run "control userpasswords2"

Go to the advanced tab, click the advanced button. Click on the users
folder. Right click your account, select properties. Put a check in the box
for "password never expires". "Ok" your way out.
