HL2 Maps/Mods

Are there any maps/mods available for this that are worth playing? I've only tried one that I have liked, which was based on a mini-base in "starship troopers" style fighting. Lots of antlions attacking a very small base in the middle of the desert and you have to hold out. I can't actually remember the name of the map but I will edit this post once I have found it again.

Any others worth trying?

i think that was antlion troopers, i couldnt get it to work on my computer
a good one is one were your stuck inside a city and waves upon waves of zombies attack you , all you have to do is stay alive as long as possible.

also if you dont mind
i cant seem to install HL2 after i refomatted, once i get to the 4th disc the installation stops saying that it cant find a file on the disc (although its in near perfect condition) then kicks me out. no idea whats going on.
