Can a toner cartridge be refilled?

No m8 I dont think they can.

A good friend of mine needed a new cartridge for his Laser printer.
It cost him £89

Luckily he dont use it much so it lasts years
 
Well actually you can "recharge" the Toner ... but don't do it yourself.

Go to one of those Ink re-fil shops or look on-line ... the key word is "Recharge" cartridge.

Hello All,
This is only for the seriously tight!
Refilled HL-1230 toner cartridge - it's an easy one as it has a nylon plug in the side. One fill £21 inc p+p. Slight smudge in the same place for first dozen sheets or so, then ok. Black HP No56 - ok straight away, probably three more fills with any luck, £4.99 inc p+p. Colour HP No 57 £5.99 inc p+p - would have been fine if I hadn't tried to read the diagram without my reading specs - magenta and cyan the wrong way around. Got an empty cartridge - now all ok.
