1. Will only exist if a policy has been set in the past.
2. If it's not there your computer isn't working.
 
i also forgot to mention that the two registry entries mentioned in the
article, as follows

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows NT\Windows File
Protection

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon



do not seem to be present in my registry.

anyone know why??

it won't accept the cd when i insert it either.
