I am trying to set the permissions on a key in HKCC/Software via the command
line. I have played around with regini and subinacl, but neither seems to
allow changes to that key. I have tried them succesfully on keys in HKLM
and HKCU, so I know that my syntax is right.
Googling HKCC says that the key is generated at runtime. If this is the
case, then why do permission changes made in the regedit GUI stick upon a
reboot?
Any ideas on how I can set permissions on keys in the HKCC hive?
Thanks,
Josh
