Has anyone had any problems with Hitman 2 not starting on the PC?

If you don't know why, can you point me in the right direction? I really
wanna play this game

....ahem...thanks....

Have you checked the game mfrs site for updates? I know we have a few
people around here that play it without problems.

Yeah, I actually found a patch for it, and installed it. It's not making
any difference.

I guess I should add that I'm trying to play it on my workstation. It plays
perfectly fine at home.

I created a virtual drive from it and I'm trying to play from that.

The workstation is a Windows 2000 machine w/ 1G Ram and 1Ghz AMD processor.
I hope that helps.

I'm getting a lot of feedback about needing a 'No CD crack'. Does anyone
know where I can find one?

My system is a P-III 800, 512 mb RAM, GeForce2 GTS system running Win2K.
I've had no problems running either Hitman or Hitman 2 on it. If you
can't even get to the opening cut scenes you might check your systems
DirectX, Video, and Sound driver installations.

I'd check the DX install first with dxDiag. While it isn't common,
sound systems and drivers do sometimes cause problems. Is your sound
card compaible with the EAX sound codecs used in Hitman 2. Is your
video card DX 8.1 compatible with 32MB RAM? Do you have DX 8.1 or newer
installed?

I know nothing about "No CD" cracks for this game or any other game.

AFAIK, hitman 2 uses SafeDisc 2.1 for copy protection and the exclusion of
CD emulators(ala Alcohol 120%) which was introduced only with the new
patch?? Have a look at the pc game index at www.gamecopyworld.com for more
info.

Dave

You appear to have inferred that I want a CD emulator. You are wrong.

You appear to have inferred that I was replying to you. You are wrong.

I was replying to Kodiak_j
" created a virtual drive from it and I'm trying to play from that."
