The subject says it all.

Hitman: Codename 47 has installed fine with XP, but the game itself
runs at super-high speed. Graphics and sound seem fine, as does
everything else. I know this game rarely works on XP (if at all), but
is there some way to just...slow it down?

And do my particular hardware specs have anything to do with it?

nVidia GeForce GO 6600
1 GB RAM

Thanks-

Hi leechrisman,

You can slow down the game using this utility:

Thanks for the link.

However, I seem to have another problem now. When I open the Hitman app
with Mo'Slo, I get an error message titled

"ZSystem Default Output"
that reads
"ERROR: Game Release only supports packed scenes".

When I use the autorun app instead, I get a couple error messages
saying it cannot find certain bitmap files.

These errors don't occur when I open the game on its own. I also copied
the CD files to the Hitman folder. Do I have to work with the placement
of files before using Mo'Slo?

Thanks for your help-

Lee

Hi LeeTyler,

Game specific customisations may not be neccessary.

Try looking into DOSBOX which is explained below. Hope it helps!

When a game is a DOS game, it could work using compatibility mode:
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=292533 or by using the Multiboot
bootdisk from: http://members.ozemail.com.au/~lpcd/downloads.html
and always check at fileplanet.com to see if there's a patch available.

With DOSBOX you can emulate a DOS computer on your XP desktop:
http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/information.php Or try MS Virtual PC:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/virtualpc/downloads/trial.asp
which allows you to install DOS or to run any operating system inside XP.

If you prefer to explore other advanced methods, here are two excellent
tutorials I've found on the subject: http://www.dosgames.com/faq.php and
http://home.earthlink.net/~angeldancer27/XpGameList.htm For sound
issues use: http://sourceforge.net/projects/vdmsound Good Luck! :-)
