Hit Counter Won't Increment

After switching servers recently, the hit counter on my
web page re-set itself to 1 and won't move. I've made
sure FP extensions are installed on my server. I have
also followed the "fixes" given by the server's tech
support of going into the live page, deleting the counter,
re-entering the counter, and then recalculating
hyperlinks. It just won't move from 1. Any ideas? And
Thanks!

HTML code is as follows:

Visitors to this site:
<!--webbot bot="HitCounter" u-custom i-image="3"
i-resetvalue="0" PREVIEW="&lt;strong&gt;[Hit Counter]
&lt;/strong&gt;" i-digits="0" startspan --><img
src="_vti_bin/fpcount.exe/C:/My%20Documents/My%20Webs/SNM/?
Page=index.htm|Image=3" alt="Hit Counter"><!--webbot
bot="HitCounter" i-checksum="31347" endspan --></td>
</tr>

Can you tell me how to get it corrected?

Thanks again.

Tom, I have the same problem Ann does, except that the place holder "Hit
Counter" just shows up on the page. The code I see does point to my hard
disk.

I can't logon to the site "live" as you have suggested. They use the server
extensions, but due to security issues, they use a seperate secure FTP
server to allow uploading to the site.

Apparently you can't go into FP and delete or modify the information in the
Webbot. FP puts it back. I can go into the page with a text editor and
delete the file path to my sub-directory, which I have been told works (if
you do it exactly right) but it bothers my sense of fitness to not be able
to use a component "as-is". Is there another hit-counter component
available? That works? Or any other suggestions?
Thanks,
Tom

Your host doesn't support the FP extensions!

If you host supported the FP extensions, then you would be able to publish
via FP's http mode or open the site directly in FP, via File Menu | Open
Web.

Non of the FP run-time component will work, such as the hit counter, forms,
discussion web, guest book, etc. as long as you have to use FTP to upload
your web content.

There are no FP2003 extensions, FP2003 will use the FP2002 extensions or
SharePoint, however any run-time FP component requires that the web be
published to a server that has support for it.
