I would like to hide my hit counter. I already did this once and save the hit
counter result in my favorites. Now I have a new computer and I don't know
how to set up the hit counter to my favorites. I already have the hit counter
on my web site and I have the blank hit counter over the first hit counter.

Thats totally different to what I have done on my web site.

On my website [http://www.funkyactionman.com] I have put the counter in
a hidden layer and when youdouble click on the Funky Action Man image
on the homepage the layer pops up.

You can see the counter when ever you need but most visitors cant see
it and even if they find it my mistake its only a hit counter !!!!

Thats cute.

But if you click Refresh, then double click on the funkyman...it will count as two hits.

thats because its a hit counter it would do the same even if it was
embedded on the page and visable

But why even bother with a hit counter? My ISP gives me detailed
information about who visits my sites, including the number of hits. I
get information like, which page they enter the site, which pages they
look at and which page they leave the site. It also tells me what
operating system they are using, what resolution screen is hooked to
it and who their ISP happens to be. It tells me if they got to the
site from a link, and if so, who the link is. That just for starters.
Surely yours has at least part of this information if you just go into
control panel and look around.

Yes it does, but a hit counter is there on the page and can be accessed
a lot quicker than my online stats software
