History won't go away

Sometimes, about 60% of the time, when I clear my history
file using the Tool-Internet Options path, my record of
that day's sites visited doesn't clear? I have my
settings to save for 0 days.
 
Hi,
With no IE windows open, try it from Control Panel> Internet Options>
General> Clear History.

You might need to delete the damaged History folder- a new one will be
created on restart.

Free History Eraser from
http://smartprotector.com/eraser/free-history-eraser.htm will delete the
History folder in Windows 9x,2K, XP.

Another program might be locking your history.

History problems can be caused by the ActiveX Control filters in McAfee
AntiVirus. If you disable the "Active X Controls" filter under the Internet
Filters in VirusScan the IE History should work properly.
