History Problems

Every time I type in something into say, a search engine
in IE 6 (Win XP) a drop down list appears of all my
previous search items. Is there any way to delete this
list? I have deleted all my cookies, temp internet files
(both offline content and online) and emptied my history
folder and still no luck.

When you get to the dropdown list highlight the ones that
you wont to delet (turns blue)then press delete
