History pane shows desktop.ini

My history pane doesn't show visited websites, just
desktop.ini and index.dat files. I've installed SP1 on
version 6. Help!

Possibly your History folder is corrupt:
[XP\2K]
Log on as Administrator and delete the desired <username> folder(s).
[example]
"C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\HISTORY"

Note: McAfee AV with ActiveX controls enabled is known to cause History
problems.
