History not working/disappears

the history on Internet Explorer no longer remembers any
sites. The number of days history to retain is set to
seven. I have updated all software and reloaded Internet
Explorer with no benefit. I have checked for spyware and
malware.I have performed the full VirusScan with no
result. I'm really not sure where to go from here and
would be grateful for your help
