History lost in IE 6 like IE 7 beta

Not sure, why or how. I've followed the uninstall direction from the support
site. But now my history is doing the same as in the beta version of IE 7,
I uninstalled it because it wouldn't keep history. Now I've go no history.
Its set for 20 days. I've not run any cleaners. Should I go back to IE 7
and wait for the fix or how do I get it back. Was surprised how much I rely
on my history files.

Hi Rural Guy :-)

IE7 is a Beta product, and uninstalling it often wrecks IE6 for many users.
Either do a system restore to a date and time prior to the install of IE7 or
a repair install to return IE6.

Or, you can go to the IE7 Beta 2 Public Preview newsgroup and see if someone
there has a solution that will othewise fully restore your IE6.

Hope this helps.

Hi,
When did you revert back to IE6? It's possible that uninstalling IE7 wiped
out your History, but has there been time for some History (a day or two) to
be saved?

I think that was exactly what had happened. Haven't had it loose my history
since the uninstall. Am wondering where and when Microsoft is going to
repair that history issue in the Beta Verion. I like what I used and have it
on an old computer which seems to run much smoother. Excluding the History
issue.

Like the tabs and favourites with icon recognition. Hence I've gone back to
Firefox, until I find the fix for IE 7 history issue.
