Ok.....frustration has just about sent me over the edge and I've spent
waaayyyy to much time searching! Unlike Windows 98, where you could just
click on Program Files/Windows/History......on XP it is like searching for a
hidden treasure deep in a foreign jungle!! Where might I be able to find the
History files? And I thought I was somewht "computer savvy!" Thanks to
anyone who can help and make this "dummy" understand! :) Janice

History files are kept in a folder for each user under

c:\Documents and settings\User name\Local Settings\History

You could just use explorer to search for fles/folders named history.

Alternatively, why not just open Internet Explorer and click on the
history icon?

Open Internet Explorer and hit Ctrl + H

Type or paste the following line into Start | Run and click OK...

%userprofile%\Local Settings\History

Local Settings is a Hidden folder.

Ok you guys!! Thank you! Guess I just tired myself out cause I knew IE had
a history button, but I am just that stubborn and can usually can find things
on my own and I was determined to find it in windows explorer....but even
searching the hidden files, all I could ever manage was a history file in the
Temp folder, and it said something like ie.5 (or similar!). Thanks to you
both!!! Have a great 4th!!!

That would be %userprofile%\Local Settings\History\History.IE5
