Greetings. I have this link under the 'back' button and wish to remove it.

wtf.jpg

wonder if the picture will show.

well anyway, heres the 'problem':

Whenever I press the downward arrow beside the back button to go back
multiply webpages in one click, i see a 'hitory' link which takes me to the
history tab(basically the same as pressing the history' button. How may I
remove such a link?

Oh. i'm too used to using those forums.
So, is there any way to remove that 'history' link?

Since Frank says he doesn't have it in XPsp2
which version of IE do you have? <eg>

heres the list of add-ons i have.

The strange thing was that it happened suddenly. I've been using this
comp with SP2 for a couple of months now and it only appeared a few
days back. Didn't download any updates for some time already (because
windows update has none)

Then I don't have any idea where it comes from.

BTW, that is just a list of the enabled addons, which does happen to be what
we want.

After reading this thread, I checked my system and found that it does show
the history entry on the drop-down from the Back button. I'm fairly sure
that it wasn't always there, but I don't use that feature often and I have
no idea when it might have first appeared. My system is Win2K SP4 with
IE6 SP1. All relevant patches (I think) are applied. Help > About says
Update versions: ;SP1;Q833989;Q903235;Q823353;
