History.IE5 corrupt 99

I am running IE 6.029 SP2 with XP home edition and I keep getting a message
in the sytem trau that History.ie5 is corrupt? Wants me to run chkdsk utility
but that does nothing? Any Ideas?? I used a cleaner to delete history but did
not attempt to delete the folder?

Could be the index.dat file in your History folder that's corrupted. See
this site on how to manually delete that folder (it will be recreated as
empty) and get that super-hidden index.dat file within:
