History Gone

I've had this computer over a year and never had a problem with this
before. I noticed this morning my History was gone from IE6. I have it
set up for 60 days. It's great when my kids can just type barb and
www.barbie.com pops up, or the same with Bobthebuilder. Well you get the
picture.
Could this have been caused by the computer being shut down by the
on/off button and not the correct way, which happened last night? I
think, but not positive IE was open when that happened.
I read one of the post that said to check the Clear TIF upon shutdown. I
do not have that checked, but like I said it had been working perfectly
until the computer was shut off using the button instead of the proper
shutdown procedure.

If you are using McAfee anti-virus turn off the ActiveX part of Internet
Filter.
