history deleting

I did log off and back on and when I click the history
icon, nothing shows up. However, if i "search" in that
same side window, internet shortcuts appear. I have
followed the instructions from the last two responses and
still have the same problem. Nothing is in the drop-down
address bar, so i am fine there. I look in the history
folder and temp folder and temp internet folder and
nothing is there. I also did this as the administrator in
safe mode. Where are thise files?
 
ok....this history after new logon is the current history
and should be only one-two places...

without logoff you can close all internet windows and use
internet options in control panel to remove history.
 
did that- no luck
