I sent the above to a tech who has not responded. She had me send this to M.S.
My question is am I doomed to look at this folder forever.
If you rt clickit is and click on 'delete' a warning comes up that,"If you
rename, remove, or in any way alter this folder, you may damage some of your
programs.
I spent a week getting straightened out but have this folder to try to deal
with.
Is anyone familiar with this situation and a way to resolve its removal w/o
damage.

From your post I'm sure that nobody can help you because you have told us
nothing!
Pretend that we don't know what has been going on,what you have done and
just what it is you are trying to do.Now start over and don't forget the
details.

Gerry - Thank you for the polite reply.
One day after I wrote, the M.S. tech sent me directions re: deleting some
entries in the log. She also said I could disregard the warnings re: removing
the hijack folder on my desktop. She said those warnings are typical. All
worked out well.
Incidentally, I used to receive notifications in my hotmail account from
Windows newsgroup xp Help + support; when I clicked on it, it use to take me
directly to the post.
Since Windows Live was imposed on all when I click on the notification from
windows newsgroup, all I see is a white page.
Do you have any ways to work around this? I have xp sp2 msie 6.
Thank you for your patience with a non tech

I wanted to thank you for helping solve my problem.
It is a pleasure to speak with an intelligent person who understands that
articulation is related to ones capabilities with subject matter; we all had
to learn somewhere from someone and insensitivities serve no purpose.
After much 'learning' I worked this issue out with a M.S. tech.
Thank you
