HijackThis have been discussed several times in this group.

This tool is often/always used when solving spyware problem
within a forum.

If MSAS fails this can give important clues about where to
find a solution.

These logs can also be checked automatically within these sites.

Don´t remove anything until you are sure about what you are
doing.

Yeah, much appreciated, but the purpose of beta is to get feed back on the
products week points, suggesting an alternative, suggesting an alternative
solution is not helping to solve the problem. Suggest in tandem.

A word of warning about the autoanalysis links posted
here. Merjin, the creator of HJT specifically does NOT
recommend autoanalysis of HJT logs, better to post in
castlecops or similar and get an informed analysis. HJT
is a very powerfull tool, but as a result can be really
dangerous if used wrongly - trust me, i found out the
hard way.

I will.... I just like to see what an automated process thinks versus what
I see when i read the log!

Good note though, a lot of folks run amok through here, think they found the
perfect answer and go blow up their computer. I just like to tinker, tweak,
and sometimes aggravate just for fun.

This is only about help solving issues that MSAS cant manage.

Do you think users will wait for a solution within MSAS.
This can
take weeks, and some spyware drives users crazy......

I think to only give advice about scanning twice in safe
mode only
makes users more frustrated.

Of course spywarereports must be sent to MS to make this
product better
but I think you must realize that MS not is a holy
God.............

We are going from a situation with no spywareprotection for
a majority
to MSAS and we need several tools for this challenge.

Yes I know therefore my warning.

But this can be a help to solve problem within this group
to ask about warnings within MSAS and autoanalysis from
HijackThis logs.

I always recommend som of these:

Everyone uses Merjin tools and spirits about solving
spywarethreats.
Without Merjins work we had been in a much worse situation.
