I am running Windows 98 at work. I know, that was my first mistake but it is
a work computer so I don't have any choice. My problem is my normal home page
is MSN but now it some how is has been changed to the passport login page. I
have tried to reset it to MSN but it keeps coming back to the login page. I
can reset it to Yahoo and it stays. The url comes up like this
http://login.passport.net/uilogin.srf?lc=1033&id=6528&vv=320. This is
actually the bosses computer and he is also getting a ton of popups again. I
have ran spybot destroyer, ad aware and spyware blaster and none of these
programs have changed anything. Yes, I ran them in safe mode also. I also
installed Hijack This but am unsure of deleting anything it found. Can anyone
help. My boss is very annoyed by this.
Thanks
Denise

Also try Pest Patrol and Spybot Search and Destroy (set it to scan on
startup, too)....make sure you update to the latest signatures and
engines before scanning as these are usually updated daily. If you
don't update, your sigs will be out of date quite quickly.

once you have your system clean and green try this:

http://www.snapfiles.com/get/startpageguard.html

its freeware and works.
