Hijacked computer?

The activity light on my cable modem seems to be on all
the time. How can I find out if my comp. has been
hijacked?

you should know what all the connections are

Paul,
You running a firewall? Something like Zonealarm will tell
you info in attacks happening. Could also be a worm
sending mail.
