When I highlight a file in Windows Explorer, the highlight is so faint that I
can hardly see it! Is there a way to darken the highlight? Thank you

One thing I noticed that if you play with the monitor settings you might be
able to make the distinction better. Try turning the brightness and Contrast
both up and down. On some monitors there's more of a distinction if the
contrast is down a bit rather than up. You'd have to experiment. You might
also try a "Windows Classic" theme - you know, the ones that look like
Windows 98. You lose all the Aero effects etc., but this problem is solved.

Thankfully, it looks as if with Windows 7 the disctinction will be much
better, so when the time comes to upgrade ..
