High Resolution Photography Hardware

My client takes High-Res Aerial photographs. The negatives are printed and
sent to her.
She would like to be able to scan a full sheet and print high quality photos.
The Epson equipment she currently uses doesn't satisfy her.
She's also willing to replace her Mac G4 (768 RAM), which is a bit slow. Her
high-res scans (600 DPI or better) can be 250-300 MBs or more.
Any suggestions or sources of info greatly appreciated

It may be worth a try to scan the negatives if
your client has a scanner that has that option.

Your statement "Full Sheet" leads me to believe
there may be several images on one page?

I would suggest scanning the images one at
a time. On the preview scan of the project...
if she will left click / drag a box around one
image and then enter the finished size and
DPI she wants the scan to be...only the single
image will be scanned. I find that I get better
scans this way than I do if I scan multiples.

By "Full sheet" she means 3 strips of negatives tht contain about 5-6 images
each. Cheaper scanners usually scan only one strip. She never scans more than
one image at a time. Oddly, she upgraded to OS X recently, and the Epson
interface changed so much that she reverted to OS 9. Photoshop doesn't
integrate with the scanner anymore, either. (Not that Iwould gratuitously
denigrate MACs).
A local photographer has suggested the Epson 2200 printer. Anyone have
experience with this $700.00 printer which has some impressive specs?
