Hello all,

What I need to find is a web cam that produces "studio quality" feed
(60 fps, at least 640x480, 24-bit pixels) that would work well under
Linux (OpenSuSe is our main preference). Ideally, that would be a USB-
based camera. If it can have positional control via software - even
better.

Any suggestions much appreciated.

Boris.

List of Firewire cameras here. Some are for scientific or machine vision
applications.

Some of the companies offer multiple interfaces, like USB, Firewire,
and Ethernet. It may be easier to connect via Firewire or Ethernet,
when the companies in question don't provide specific Linux support.

752 x 480 x 60FPS, 8 or 10 bit color.
