This might not be the right group for this question, so give me another
suggestion if it isn't.

We are looking for a high end copier/printer in the 65-90 cpm range,
that supports printing from Solaris and Linux, as well as added network
features like scan to email, and advanced collation/paper handling.

An example would be the Xerox line, WCP265, WCP275, WCP90.

Is there any competitive models from other vendors.

Well, you've pretty much nailed it with those.

This level of machine should be postscript (or compatible) so it should
have a PPD file so that *nix can drive it quite happily.

I don't recognise the Xerox model numbers - but I presume they are black
only. In which case you could also look at something like the Canon
iR6570 (and faster versions of the same machine). Another alternative
would be something from Ricoh's Aficio 20xx range, or an Infotec branded
version of the same machine IS21xx
