Under the Windows folder in my C drive there are all the
Windows Update files(all in blue letters). Is there any
way to not show these? can I create a folder and put them
all in there(without the system saying that you can't do
anything with these files because they are in use?)
thanks.

These files are a backup in case you want to uninstall
the hot fix.If your system is working fine and you do not
plan to uninstall any of these they can be safely removed
from your system (the hotfix itself will not be removed
only the backup). at this site www.dougknox.com
go to the xp utilities pags and click on Doug's
Remove hotfix backup files script.

Thanks for the reply and tip. :-)

There is a way to hide these. Click tools>folder options, and when you
in the folder options, click view, then click the dot that says "do no
show hidden files and folders". then you wont see any more of thos
update folders
