Hiding objects in Directory

Is it possible to hide objects from the Directory? Right now everything
from AD Users & Computers (user accounts, machine accounts, etc.) shows up
in the directory. This is fine for me, but pretty cluttered for my users.
I really only want them to see the resources I publish specifically for
them.

Any help is appreciated.

You can modify the permissions on the objects that you wish to hide. For
example if I wish to hide the contents of an OU, I would deny the user or
group the List Contents permission or I could remove the read permission.
