I'm running windows XP Home edition SP2, and have old style Ctrl, Alt + Del
log-on screen. Every time I log on the last users name is already in 'user
name' box.

Is there any way of deactivating this?

Any help would be appeciiated.

Can't do this in XP Home AFAIK.......

Oh Well,
I had a feeling it wosn't doable.
I'd tried the usual regestry edits but default user just keeps coming back.

Thanks anyway Gordon,

Did you try this registry edit?

Hide the Last User Name
http://www.winguides.com/registry/display.php/1/

Restrict Showing the Last Username
http://www.winguides.com/registry/display.php/988/

Don't Display Last User Name
http://www.visualautomation.com/comprod/secure6/don_t_di.htm

Good luck
