Hide something on slide when running the presentation

At the moment I run the show on a secondary monitor while
I have the presentation in the slide sorter view on the
primary monitor. That enables me to see all the slides
with their slide numbers and that makes it easy to jump
between the diferent slides when running the show.
What I want to know is there a way that I can see
something on the slide, for example a comment, but when
the show is running, it is hidden?
Otherwise is there a way to name the slides a certain
name, additional to the slide number?

The reason for the question is because I'm operating the
computer for a band. The band jump between the diffenrt
verses, chorus, bridges, ect. For instance sometimes I
have to go back to the chorus, but I don't necessarily
know which slide is the chorus. Therefore I want to name
the slide chorus, or show something on the slide which is
hidden when running the show.

Thanks in advance
Gerrit

By using the Title placeholder as the slide "lable", you will be able to use
the outline view to see what each slide is for. Simply place the title
placeholder off the slide so that it does not show.

Hello,

PowerPoint doesn't provide the functionality that you are looking for
(specify that something which is visible in other slide views in
PowerPoint, not be visible during slide show) although, for your specific
scenario, "B" has already provided a common workaround.

If you (or anyone else reading this message) think that it's important that
PowerPoint provide this kind of functionality, don't forget to send your
feedback (in YOUR OWN WORDS, please) to Microsoft at:

http://register.microsoft.com/mswish/suggestion.asp

As with all product suggestions, it's important that you not just state
your wish but also WHY it is important to you that your product suggestion
be implemented by Microsoft. Microsoft receives thousands of product
suggestions every day and we read each one but, in any given product
development cycle, there are only sufficient resources to address the ones
that are most important to our customers so take the extra time to state
your case as clearly and completely as possible.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions)
