D Doug Knox MS-MVP Jul 12, 2005 #2 You can't hide it, per se. You can get rid of it. Click Start, Run and enter REGEDIT Navigate to: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{647053C3-1879-34D7-AE57-67015C91FC70} Right click the {647053C3-1879-34D7-AE57-67015C91FC70} subkey and select Rename. Rename it to OLD_{647053C3-1879-34D7-AE57-67015C91FC70}. Log off, log back on and the Recycle Bin is gone. Undo the renaming to put it back.

N niknik1971 Jul 13, 2005 #3 Download and install tweak UI ( http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx ) and there is a setting in it under desktop for what is shown on the desktop. Uncheck the Recycle Bin to hide it from the desktop. NIK You can't hide it, per se. You can get rid of it.
