When my email account was switched to an exchange server, a second calendar
was created. how do I set one of the calendars as default and get rid of the
"My Calendars" section in the side pane? Or how do I eliminate one of the
calendars? (of course, maintaining all the tasks and alarms set in the
original calendar) I guess i'm one of those users with a small monitor, so
the more i can hide, the better.

Thx,

The new set of folders is on the Exchange server. You don't state your
Outlook version, but for Outlook 2002/2003, click Tools>E-mail
Accounts>Next. If at the bottom left it says "Mailbox - yourname" or
"yourname", then you delivery location is Exchange. It is says "Personal
Folders", then your delivery location is your PST (the other set of
folders). Unually, in an Exchnage environment, the drop down should be your
Exchange mailbox. You can then drag all the non-default folders (i.e., the
ones that have no Exchange equivalent) from your PST to the Exchange
mailbox. FOr the folders where the names match, you can open the Personal
Folders versions, select all the items, and copy them to the corresponding
Exchange folders. When you're done, right-click the Personal Folders root
and choose Close. You'll not have only a single set of folders containing
all your data.
