Hide Media Player backround when playing WMV

Can you play a WMV file in Media Player and have it move out of the way on the screen, like it does when playing a DVD? I can play it in "full screen", but even with all displays turned off, I still get frames on top and bottom of screen. I want it to play like a DVD with a black backround.
 
Hi there,

This may to too simplistic of an answer, but once you
select View/FullScreen just don't touch the mouse or the
keyboard and the top/bot bars should go away -- move the
mouse or hit the KB and they return (?)

Note: to enable the classic menu-interface, just click on
the upper-leftmost hotspot on MM2's GUI interface panel.
