Hide Junk E-Mail Folder

We are about to deploy Office 2003 to our users.

As we use Citrix / Terminal Services we can not use Exchange Cached Server
mode as it is disables. As a result I presume we can not use the Junk Email
Filter.

I have a couple of question:

1. Has anyone managed to hide the junk email filter (or remove it)?

2. Am I correct in what I say that we can not use the Junk Email filter due
to not being able to use the Exchange Chached mode (and not being able to
have OST)?

Thanks,

Jonathan

I would also like to be advised on how to hide and/or delete the junk e-mail
folder. Would someone kindly reply. Thank you.

Which version of Exchange? If you have 2003 with IMF installed, IMF moves
messages to the junk folder server side. Otherwise, you can try deleting it
using OWA or mdbvue.exe but be aware it might be recreated.

I raised a call with Microsoft about this and there is no easy solution.

Basically you can remove it using odd ways BUT it is not a good idea... A
real problem what to do with it!

JT - can you provide any additional info on what MS told you? We are facing
a similar situation where they are using Postini and don't want to confuse
the users by giving them yet another place to look thru spam mail.

I think I can see why it will be a bear, since masking it won't be enough.
If some user is monkeying around in Tools|Options and changes the settings,
I suppose stuff would just start dropping in there and they'd have no way to
go look.

Anyway, anything you can foward on from MS would be helpful, even if it's to
present the "it can't really be done well" case.

TIA!
