Do you mean "know" above?

I'll put it simply. If you hide your IP address, you cannot access the
Internet in any meaningful way. It is the Internet equivalent of not having
a return address on a letter. The letter can be mailed, but there is no
chance of a reply.

Hiding your IP address would mean you could request a Web page, but the
server would not know where to send the response packets.

Clear enough?

AFAIK you could use a proxy server or you could use Ad Muncher
(shareware) to spoof your IP address though you could only do this on a
website with Ad Muncher.

But completely hiding your IP Address, I don't know maybe a firewall
can be configured to do this somehow?.

Thanks for the Info. I knew I could get the answer here. Have a Blessed day.

you don't need to download any stuff. For surfing, try this:

1) search for list of anonymous proxies (altavista is good - lists
should be easy to find, but only use recent ones)
2) assuming you are using IE, go to Tools->Internet Options->
Connections->settings
4) click on use a proxy server
5) type in the ip address of a proxy server from (1). It will look
something like 200.149.254.101:8080 - the numeber after the ':' is the
port so in the box on the left type 200.149.254.101 and on the box on
the right type 8080

This proxy may or may not work and may or may not be anonymous so you
need to check.
The quick and easy way to see if it works is:

1) type www.yahoo.com Does it come up? If so we know it works
2) type www.showmyip.com
3) if that page says that your ip address is what you typed in then your
done. If not start over again and find a new proxy

some examples

194.228.201.3:80
195.15.15.210:8002
195.195.190.29:80
196.12.49.27:8080
200.13.228.165:80
200.13.230.243:80
200.198.83.130:80
200.21.238.89:8002
200.241.244.130:80
200.242.249.70:80
200.249.136.2:8080
200.29.132.50:8000

Nonsense. Mine is hidden, as it should be. Any NAT-enabled router will do
this for you.
