When I right click on my taskbar go to hide inactive icons, then config,
I have a huge list of 100+ past Items I would like to remove. However I
don't know how to remove them. I've tried searching the registry for
some of the names, but nothing has turned up. If you view the
attachment, you'll see waht I mean.

Theres another guy trying to do the same thing.
Any help is appreciated.

ps. I don't want a program to do this, I want to do it manually

I got this directly from an MSKB article:

Notification Area - Remove Past Icons from List

Delete the IconStreams and PastIconsStream values from the following
registry key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\TrayNot
ify

Open Task Manager, click the Processes tab, click Explorer.exe, and then
click End Process.

In Task Manager, click File, click New Task, type explorer, and then click
OK.

No, but why do you want past items?
After rebooting, all your current items will reappear & you only have to
reconfigure them again to always show or whatever.
