since this is one of my favourite functions in XP, I find it extremely
annoying that it's gone.

the function is gone and nothing seems to help. Of course, I have checked
the "hide inactive icons" in the properties dialogue box. And I have also
checked that the registry entry EnableAutoTray is set to 1. Have also tryied
Kelly Theriots solution to the problem, but nothing seems to help. It all
started when I updated the Media Player (damn MS). Greatful for a solution!
