"Show in System Tray", "Minimize to System Tray" et cetera. That would
be your first stop. Others are not so friendly. If these UI options
change the registry it would be in application-specific locations and
likely un-documented. In a few cases a "helper" or "pre-load" utility
is being started. Often from a RUN registry key. Look there. It may
be possible to remove this entry with no ill effects. Notes and
