Hi all,

I have an Access form connected to SQL-server.
When I start the application from Access/Archive/AccessFile.mdb I'm
promted to login.
If then press 'Cancel' and choose Archive/AccessFile.mdb the second time
- I get the Access database Window.

I have already Tools --> Startup... --> unchecked "Display Database Window".

So how can I prevent the Access database Window to open the second time?
I don't want the user to see that.

Hi Kent. what happens when you click 'cancel'? Does the application Quit or
simply close the form?

In short, the cancel should exit the application.

Hi,

I figured this out myself.

When I'm promted to login to SQL-server and I press 'Cancel', then I'm
already using the current database (MyAccessFile.mdb).

When the I then choose 'Archive'/MyAccessFile.mdb the second time the
database window is displayed. There is no way I can prevent this.

What I have to do is to remove the default Menu bar so that the user
cannot use 'Archive' the second time.

But your right; Cancel should exit the application - but it doesn't.
