Using Access 2002.

My application is designed around 1 main form that is used as an interface, i.
e holds login info, displays time and date etc. all other forms and reports
open over this main form, i.e the property is set to popup on all forms and
reports.

The problem is preview reports with popup set, will not display toolbars or
menu's, therefore I have to use shortcut menu's, I really want to have a
toolbar displayed, Is there anyway to hide all open forms, then preview the
report without popup set, when closing the report I could then show all open
forms again?

Regards Gary.

Any particular reason why you don't just use model forms?

A model form is designed to stay on top of the previous form..and also force
you back to close the form..and reverse the way you came.

You throw in one stupid popup form, and that form will STAY on top.....next
thing you know, it is like a cat chasing its tail....you lost complete
control of what form stays on top..and next thing you know, you now start
setting all forms to be popup. This was NEVER needed in the first place....

You should be albe to make your application function using the model
settings. However, one popup form in the mess, and the whole thing will not
work. Those popup forms are for forms that stay on top of all existing
forms, but do NOT necessarily have to have the focus. So, for information
screens, or help type wizards, etc, they make sense. However, the popup
setting has NO place for just general forms..

Simply remove popup setting of all your forms..and use the model setting.

And, last but not least...don't confuse model forms with dialog forms. I
explain the difference here
