Hidding XP from Vista

I've been reading all of the post here, so I am aware that Vista and XP
destroy each others system restore points. The suggestion most offered was
to hide XP from Vista. How is this done, in simple terms please? I would
like to have Vista on a new larger drive and leave XP on the currently
installed drive.

No, it's just XP messing with Vista. Vista leaves XP alone.

The solutions at the link are:
Use BootItNG to hide Vista.
Run a Virtual PC application.
Disconnect the Vista drive.
Simply don't run Vista.

Well, that's pretty close to my practice, but I don't expect keep getting
away with it. Since Vista will replace XP, unless everyone quits using
Windows, I'm going to be dealing with Vista, so I'd best learn how to.

Since I like the chess game, I do boot it up from time to time.
