Hidden Web Server Files

Hidden folders were used when a website I maintain was created. For example,
_content or _auxillary. I had to reinstall Frontpage and create the website
on my drive again, and I can't remember how to get those hidden webserver
folders to show up! I did the Tools, Site Settings, Advanced, Show hidden
files and folders. No luck. There's another setting, somewhere that affects
this.

Help!

Tools->Site Settings - Advanced tab and tick the box is the ONLY setting
that affects hidden folders, apart from the _derived folder, folders
with names ending with _files (example: pagename_files) and the _vti*
files which are always hidden.

Provided you have a website open, folders named _content and _auxillary
should be visible after the above.
If not, download FP Cleaner from
http://www.95isalive.com/fixes/fpclean.htm and run the routines that
delete the hidden temporary files, and delete the hidden web cache
files. This may help.

Thanks... because I've gone through this two times before with the software
below I'm thinking it's something else, another setting...

When I open the remote webserver site directly using open site I can see the
hidden folders. When I open the local site first then the remote, I can't
see the folders. Arrrgghhh. So I've been copying files over manually.
Something is just plain wrong!

oorrrrr...you are working with "loose" pages and not a web *site*

How are you opeing your web site?

How are you opening your local site?
Does the local site folder have a globe on it?
