Hidden text in a document

I have a word document that opens but nothing is visible, however several
lines highlight when dragged across. Is there any way to see what is there?

Click the + beside English. then scroll down to Office and Desktop
Applications. In the Office and Desktop Applications category, open the Word
category. Find a group there to post in.
