Hi
We currently have a person using Outlook 2002 on an XP SP2 machine. She
recently deleted a forwarding rule but found soon after that, despite not
being shown in the rules list, the rule was still running. However, the rule
can be seen (although greyed) in OWA.
I have scoured the web for some solution to this and the nearest I could
find was Microsoft Knowledgebase article 826964 relating to rules becoming
hidden after upgrading from Outlook 2002 to 2003. I have tried the suggested
solution of using the /cleanrules switch but this then displays the error:
Cannot start Microsoft Outlook. The command line argument is not valid.
Verify the switch you are using.
It is worth noting that I have tried this switch with the prefix of Outlook,
Outlook.exe and the full installation location i.e. “C:\Program
Files\Microsoft Office\Office10\OUTLOOK.exeâ€.
I may be missing something glaringly obvious but I would be very grateful if
anyone can provide advice as to how I can delete this rule.
Many thanks
