As you can see GCAS and SADB is not removable. I believe that th
personal information is stored in my harddisk. Of course I have to giv
the required information when I installed and ran those programs for th
first time. I tried with internet connection turned off but th
information will still appeared without having to type in. I had pu
different email addresses for each trial ware. What I am trying to sa
is that the information should be erased or the user be made aware tha
these are there and be told how to get rid of these if he so chooses. A
least you can get rid of cookies whenever you wanted to do so. If th
information is stored it is always possible for other parties to acces
it without my knowledge. It may be valueable to most African criminal
who can use it for spams and chain letters to increase the sucess rate

Best security practices such as using firewall and strong passwords for user
and particularly administrator accounts should minimize such risks but what
you could try is to use something like CCleaner to clean up temp files on
your computer, make sure that all artifacts are removed from program files
folder for the application, and search the registry for registry keys to
remove from the old application. CCleaner or Regseeker can help with that
also. In CCleaner go to issues and scan the registry to remove old unused
registry entries. If the application was written by malicious authors then
only a pristine install may fix the problem as they could have told the
application to store information anywhere on the computer though malware and
spyware detection and removal programs may be able to find such if in their
definition files. --- Steve

What does 'gcas' mean? Does anyone know? I have been trying to install
WindowsDefender, and every time the installation is aborted with the remark
'Internal Error 2753gcasInstallHelper.exe'. How can this error be fixed?
