I am new to vista. When I run a file scan it shows files that I can not open
or delete. It shows the space used. How do I delete, move or open these
files. I would like to have the space.

Depends what the files are. You can't just go deleting files willy-nilly you
know. Give us an example.

File scan with what?
Hidden files are generally system files that you dont want to fiddle with,
unless you want to trash your system

You need to be more explicit in what your are doing, and what you think you
see - at least

I am using Binary Boy to download binary files. It makes temp files until
all the files that it needs are in. Then it makes one big file. If all the
files it needs do not come in it leaves then in a folder called part. I need
to go in there from time to time and delete the old files. I deleted to
files but find them when I do a search for files ending with .BBT. I find
thousands for files with bbt. Try to open or delete these files, it tells me
they can not be opened. Can not be found. But I notice the space missing on
my hard-drive. I have even deleted the folder the files or in. Still find
them when doing a search.
