How do I disable HID in services, and will this disrupt
anything else?

Start - Run - type services.msc, scroll down to human interface devices,
right click choose properties then under start up type choose disabled.
It says it controls predefined hot buttons on keyboards and such. I have a
multimedia keyboard and have this disabled and it doesn't effect my keyboaed
at all.

It should disable most USB devices like Mouse, Keyboard, Joystick, Gamepad,
Pen etc etc Human Interface Device...anything you use to interface with PC.

Careful ...if you disable it and you use a USB mouse, it won't be the
easiest thing to re-enable without a mouse!

A Microsoft multimedia keyboard is a PS/2 device! Not a HID USB device.

Actually Cari, my keyboard and mouse are both usb.
I did not mention anywhere about owning or using a microsoft mutimedia
keyboard.
My keyboard is a genius kb1e i think not too sure of the model and i have a
microsoft intellimouse explorer 3 both of which are using a usb port.
I have HID disabled and like i said this causes no problems for me.
