I have purchased a new Dell. The HID keyboard was working perfectly. Although
the numerical lock light shows up on the remote receiver and the f-keys' are
operating... the mail, my computer, calculator, home buttons and the volume
stopped working. All drivers show to be operating and updated with no
conflicks.

Please help.
Thank you
Tim

Drivers - okay.
Dell software for said keyboard?

I believe it is this:
http://support.dell.com/support/dow...dhs&releaseid=R44838&formatcnt=1&fileid=52860
( R44838.EXE )

Yes
It worked perfectly. I have 2 (two) small children with little fingers. I
think they "hit something".
Thank you for the prompt reply.

Is the registry keys needed to make these specific features, except volume (which is considered a standard key like A or B), work. They are installed by default in XP. No drivers are required for any of the features you mention (not true for all extra buttons).

Maybe the drivers are stopping it from working. Only the stock standard keyboard driver is required for the features you mention.

It is the only stock standard keyboard driver listed.

Your replies don't make any sense. Except this particular one. Did you check those values are in the registry?

I do not know how to do this. That is why I am in the "New User forum".
I apologize. Thanks anyway.
