My desktop has developed a habit of rebooting from hibernation unaided. this
happens in the early am. usually between 5 and 7am. To get around this I
unplug the pc from the power but this is not really pratical as the plug is
hard to reach. Is there a way to fix it please ?

Personally I can't bear hibernation. The whole topic just
puts me to sleep.

I know very little about hibernation, and can't help you with that problem,
but I wanted to comment on your statement "the plug is hard to reach."

You should always be able to unplug the computer easily and rapidly, for
example, if there is a nearby thunderstorm in progress, or you leave home
for several days.. I suggest that you buy a long-enough extension cord and
use it for the computer's connection. You can arrange things so that the
junction between the computer's power cord and the extension cord is kept in
an easy-to-reach location.

My PC will reboot when the garbage truck runs down the street at 6:30 AM
everday.
